The two layers are sewn together with cotton. Luffa is a type of cucumber-like fruit that is perfect as a cleaning and scouring pad when dried. Many regular scouring pads are made of plastic, when you wash or use them they release microplastics. This scouring sponge is completely plant-based and therefore 100% plastic-free. And it works just as well!   100% plastic-free sponge cloths Perfect for washing dishes. Safe to use on non-stick pans. 2 sides: loofah for scrubbing, sponge for absorption. Machine washable at 30-40ºC. Compostable Wrapped in 100% recyclable paper The sponges last approximately 4-8 weeks, after which you can compost them.
