We do not suggest bearings for headsets from the inferior range. Instead we start with chrome steel, Black oxide A/C and finally the bearings made of stainless steel 440C. They are always constructed with the largest possible balls and their double lip seals are located in a small indentation for ultimate protection against sweat and the (natural) elements. They are 90% filled with high-pressure grease, so you don't have to wonder if there is grease on the inside. STAINLESS: Enduro Bearings manufactures select ranges of bearings constructed with stainless 440C steel balls. This material offers maximum resistance to corrosion in all circumstances. Depending on the application, Abec 3 or Abec 5 quality is used. Stainless steel balls have 20% less capacity than the 52100 steel balls used in most of our bearings, but they do have better protection against corrosion. Enduro Bearings uses a CRC marine grease in these bearings as extra protection against contamination.
